Grace Ifeanyichukwu, MPP
Founder, Organization Culture and Structure Consultant
Welcome! I’m Grace; an ambivert, empath and people, structures and systems enthusiast. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been obsessed with two questions: “Why does the world ‘function’ the way it does and how could it be different?” Those two questions led me to study sociology and public relations (i.e. feed my obsession about people and society) and in my graduate career study public policy. I needed to understand why so many institutions are often ineffective, inefficient and/or dehumanizing and wanted to find paths for change. Those two questions also led to several years of love and labor in the field of education as one of many paths towards what I have called ‘systems change’ in the past and more robustly call ‘liberation’ now. Working with, on and beside the education system with school and district leaders eager to create restorative school cultures further ignited a passion for better work environments and ultimately lives.
My journey has channeled these lifelong questions into a movement for beautiful work; day to day conditions where people collaborate on common goals, flourish and are joyous because a diverse array of needs and experiences are deeply embedded in the organization’s functions and evolution, and black people’s, indigenous people’s and people of color’s experiences within that are elevated. Systems, structures and cultures that respect, celebrate and uplift our humanity: that’s what I think of when I hear and say ‘liberation’ and that’s what I believe is possible when we collectively get inquisitive about not just the work and movements we care about but the how and why as well.
That’s enough about me for the moment. I’d love to learn more about you, your work and your organization’s journey! You ready?
